In this workshop led by Beth Chrisman, we will learn how to use the capo as a tool, along with different chord shapes, to get the most out of your guitar. We will share basic music theory and practical tools to help you understand how to transpose keys and songs into playable chords that fit your vocal range.
We will sing and play through straightforward country and bluegrass songs while practicing moving around the guitar neck and covering essential rhythms and sounds. If you feel a bit lost discussing keys and capo positions, this workshop will give you the confidence to join a jam or move your favorite song to the key and chord shapes that work best for you.
Attendees will need to bring a guitar, capo, and pick, and must be familiar with playing basic chords.
